Hey all hep cats and kittens! You remember how last year I had, like, a Halloween contest? And it was totally fun and we all had a jolly time of it? Let's do that again! This time, it shall be a...

He's kind of a spooky guy, ya know. I mean, after all, he's sorta...slithery. And he hangs out with monsters. And he seems to be on tender terms with Death. And his favorite colors are orange and black! (And also green and purple!)

• Make a piece of Makeshift Man art...any kind of art. It could be a drawing, a painting, a sculpture, a poem, a story, a song, an analytical essay, an interpretive dance performance...whatever it is that you do best!
• And since this is Halloween, make it spooky. Maybe it's MM being scary. Or maybe you think you could scare him. Or maybe the general atmosphere is just bump-in-the-night-ish. (Heck, his wardrobe choices alone are pretty frightening...)
• Make it all original. You're not allowed to modify a piece of my pre-existing MM art. And, of course, you're not allowed to use anyone else's work, either. It's gotta be all you.
• It's fine if you want to ask me questions about him. (But there are no guarantees that I'll answer, you understand. ^__~)
• Send me a link to your work. You can email me or send me a message or comment on the Dead Squirrel Forum, or LiveJournal, DeviantArt, Sheezy Art, or Facebook. You can also email me the file, itself, if you need to. See how easy I'm making this! Subject line should read something along the lines of "Makeshift Man Contest", so that I can easily find it if I lose it.
• All entries are due at the stroke of midnight, November 1! That's when October 31 becomes November 1, ya dig?

Judging shall be done by myself and Andrew and maybe Technetus. This is because I am indecisive and need help.

• First Prize shall be a signed copy of Dis: Life is Hell volume 1! And an original painting of a subject of your choosing! And a Dead Squirrel t-shirt in a size of your fitting!
• Second Prize shall be a signed copy of Dis: Life is Hell volume 1! And an original painting of a subject of your choosing!
• Third Prize shall be a signed copy of Dis: Life is Hell volume 1! And an original drawing of a subject of your choosing!

...Now, ain't that enough to just beat all? Well, you've got a month, kids! Better get to it! I'm so excited to see what you come up with!
